JF Designs Co. Selected to Design Collateral for Easter Northwest Event with Shaun Alexander and Christian Faith Center

SEATTLE, WA — JF Designs was excited to be selected to design collateral identity including the web site for the Easter Northwest Event (www.easternw.com) presented by Christian Faith Center in Seattle Wa. Easter Northwest will feature NFL Seattle Seahawk Running Back Shaun Alexander(www.shaunalexander.com) and Christian Faith Center Pastors Casey and Wendy Treat (www.caseytreat.com). The project encompassed a new art concept for the event that included logo, branding and collateral development. The project also included the official event web site design and development. JF Designs created a total package solution for Christian Faith Center that included web design and implementation and the server technology for hosting the completed site.

JF Designs was tasked with the project of creating a web presence that capitalized on the Seattle area pride in their local Superbowl star Shaun Alexander. “This project has been alot fun and for a very good cause,” says Jay Forde of JF Designs.”Christian Faith Center is in the middle of building the largest Church in the Northwest, and as a member of the church, I am proud to be such an important part of this project.”

BELLEVUE, WA — JF Designs was excited to be selected to create a web site for Seattle vocal artist Fahren (www.fahrenmusiq.com). The project encompassed architecting and programming a Flash Animation design to promote Fahren’s singing talent. The site features information about her performance schedules, contact information and a multimedia gallery of her modeling photographs. FahrenMusiq.com also features MP3 downloads of some of her music that will be featured on her upcoming debut CD entitled “Out the Blue”.

JF Designs was tasked with the project of creating a web presence that was both intuitive, informative and cutting edge in consumer design. “The site design offers a strategic design advantage for Fahren” says Jay Forde of JF Designs. The art layout design was created by Sigurd Gustafussn, and JF Designs provided the Flash animation project management of this new web site to capture the energy of Fahren’s Soulful Inspiration and deliver an impactful visual result.

Fahren says, “I know who I am. I am a mother, wife, daughter, sister and friend. These are the fundamental truths that will never change and I recognize and love that I am all of these things first. I believe that everyone has a story, the question is; can you handle the vulnerability of being transparent about your life? I realize that every trial and triumph, every joy and pain, has shaped me into the woman I am today. My song comes from deep within; it truly comes from my soul”.

With a sassy style and ready spirit, Fahren is emerging onto the music scene introducing to the world a new genre of music “Inspirational Soul”, which is destined to take root in the hearts of Soul, Jazz, R&B and Gospel lovers alike.

“I believe that it is not about how I came to be, but who I am going to be while I am living and breathing on this earth”.

At the age of six months, she became a ward of the state. She was placed in the foster home of middle aged, southern born couple, that later adopted her as their own at the age of eight. It was her adopted mother that recognized at an early age, her many talents, one being her love for music and writing.

A writer by nature, Fahren’s musical background as a youth embraced all styles of music, from gospel, rock to classical and R%26B. JF Designs launches Friends-4-Cures web site redesign, an organization committed to raising awareness of testicular cancer.

BELLEVUE, WA — JF Designs was selected to redesign the web site for Shannon Campbell Mahaffe and her non profit organization, Friends-4-Cures.

As part of its non profit service program, JF Designs was proud to be selected to design the web site for the organization. The project entailed a complete redesign of the organization’s existing web site and a move to the JF Designs hosting network. An improved site navigation and user interface was constructed to better organize the content for visitors and volunteers who access the site.

Team Benson Becomes Friends-4-Cures, A Legacy of Family and Friendship

Benson Walker Campbell, IV learned that he had testicular cancer on October 11, 2002. The world turned upside down for 27 year-old Benson, his wife Danielle and their three-month-old son Walker. The devastating news of Benson’s cancer diagnosis rapidly reached his hometown of Henderson, Kentucky. Childhood friends, Pat Clements, Mike Clements and Jason Moore were quick to put up a website. The name of the website- TEAM-BENSON! Friends, family and community joined “Team Benson” and daily visited this ‘gathering place’ to post thoughts, prayers and encouragement for this likeable young man. “Team Benson” gathered momentum as Benson went through three months of rigorous chemotherapy followed by an extensive surgery. Benson’s optimism and strength re-energized each morning as he read the thoughtful messages. He gratefully points out “the love, prayers and support offered by my family, my friends and the Henderson community quickly evolved into my lifeline”.

“Team-Benson” is now formally FRIENDS-4-CURES. The mission of the organization is to sponsor and organize events whose proceeds go directly to cancer research, specifically testicular cancer. Benson and Friends-4-Cures’ are gratefully directing their time and energy to The Friends-4-Cures and Taft Enterprises Testis Cancer Research Fund Endowment at Indiana University Cancer Center. This endowment supports the testicular cancer research under the direction of Dr. Lawrence H. Einhorn, internationally recognized expert in testicular cancer and oncology.

This site, this endeavor and the organization FRIENDS-4-CURES speak to the essence of Benson Walker Campbell, IV. The warmth of this gentle man and his endearing sense of humor touch many people. The secure presence of a loving wife and son, his strong family background, and the close friends Benson grew from boyhood to manhood with have been his powerful allies.

Family and lifelong friendships have energized and organized Friends-4-Cures. The love and spirit of the founding members of Friends-4-Cures is a credit to them and to the community of Henderson, Kentucky.

JF Designs launches web site redesign for Unite for Sight Inc., a non profit organization committed to helping to prevent blindness

Unite For Sight, Inc., a member of the National Healthy Vision 2010 Consortium, is a national nonprofit organization that develops sustainable solutions to reduce health disparities. Each of Unite For Sight’s twenty-five chapters works with local community infrastructures to improve access to health programs.

JF Designs had a goal for the new site to create a professional, yet friendly interface that was appealing to a wide audience.

“We are so excited by this new web site,” says Jennifer Staple, the founder and president of Unite for Sight, Inc. ,”I know this will help bring more awareness to our mission to educate people about blindness and other vision illnesses. Jennifer Staple founded Unite For Sight during her sophomore year at Yale University in Fall 2000. During the previous summer, Jennifer worked as a clinical ophthalmology research associate. While taking patient histories, giving visual field exams, and performing tonometry, she learned about eye diseases through the accounts of patients whose blindness could have been prevented by early medical intervention. Their poignant stories made her recognize the need for community programs to promote eye health, motivating her to found Unite For Sight.

Under Jennifer’s stewardship, the organization has grown from a community-based nonprofit organization to an international nonprofit organization serving the medically underserved in the United States and abroad. She has created chapters in 15 cities across the United States, engaging hundreds of undergraduate and graduate students from more than 25 universities and corporations.
